Debt by Sodium!

There is little doubt about the dangers of excessive debt and sodium to our health. Yet human society can come to standstill if loans or salt suddenly became inaccessible.

But the use of these devils should be discouraged, rather than cheered, facilitated or showered with tax breaks. Perhaps each loan application acceptance should carry a legal caveat,

"YOU are the Best Judge of your ability to service This Debt with your future income stream, irrespective of your credit score computed by a rating agency.
Excessive use can hurt You, USE-DEBT-RESPONSIBLY."

Ensuring the availability of debt is not the same thing as encouraging it more. Instead of tax breaks, interest payments should attract a tax as discouragement, like on tobacco and alcoholic products.
